Madalina has a Home

Madalina is 9 years old (5.25.2000). Abandoned and suffering from emotional and physical disability she was a little waif when she arrived at Darius House two years ago. Underweight and unable to speak, Madalina was fearful and unable to interact emotionally with the other children or the staff. Aurica, a long time staff member at RCE, was working in Madalina’s classroom at Sunshine School and was touched by the quiet little girl. Aurica felt a special love for her and began to pray about taking her into their family. When she asked her husband and 3 nearly grown children they all said, with enthusiasm, yes! Today Madalina enjoys being loved as a daughter and sister. And the family loves having her! Aurica said she feels God’s pleasure while simply sitting quietly on the couch with Madalina snuggled on her lap for as long as she wants. An unknown pleasure for an abandoned child! Madalina already shows signs of opening up emotionally. She might not speak but her new family has little doubt of her feelings. Aurica’s husband is not well and unable to work. Their house is very modest but despite these circumstances they have given a little girl who needed them a loving home. RCE helps provide the monthly expenses of food, clothing, medical care so this family can make mercy happen for Madalina.
